Chemistry Lab Update

Spring 2025 will be the final term in which chemistry labs will be offered as individual courses. Starting Fall 2025, chemistry lecture and lab will be combined into a single CRN and all students will be required to take both the lecture and lab together. Chemistry Curriculum Update Notice

New Policy for Dropping Students Due to Nonpayment

Starting December 17, 2024, if you do not pay your enrollment fees, you may be dropped from your classes. Here’s what you need to know to stay enrolled:

Unpaid Fees: If you have unpaid fees from previous semesters, you must pay them before you can register for Spring 2025 (fees must be paid in full). A hold will be placed on your account until your balance is cleared.

Payment Grace Period: If you enroll in Spring 2025 courses after December 17, you’ll have up to 7 days to pay your enrollment fees. This period shortens as the class start date gets closer (1-day payment required once classes begin).

Exemptions: Some students will not be dropped for nonpayment, including those with active payment plans, dual enrollment students, financial aid recipients, and verified military-connected students using GI Bill® benefits.

Important Actions to Avoid Being Dropped:

• Pay your fees in full upon registration.
• Set up a payment plan through the MyVCCCD portal.
• Ensure all financial aid and exemptions are in place and active.

• The Spring 25 payment plan option will be available starting October 28, 2024.
